The new live-action Beauty and the Beast was absolutely stunning (of course), and we left the theater with butterflies in our stomachs and our childhoods on our minds. Emma Watson is so talented (we had no idea she could sing!), and we envy her opportunity to play one of our favorite disney princesses, and what’s more, to design her oufits! Not sure if you knew this, but she worked alongside the staff to modernize the cartoon Belle’s outfits from the original film. Personally, we think she did an unbelievable job. If you’re in a Disney mood, you too can subtley channel your inner princess with very little effort. What do you think of these ideas?

Belle, Beauty and the Beast

A bright yellow sundress, point-toe back flats, pearl studs and low, side ponytail are an easy way to copy Belle’s iconic ballroom style. Add rose-themed accessories like a clutch, bracelet or hair tie for some added Disney drama.

Jane, Tarzan

Mix a bit of artsy flare with a touch of adventure to channel your inner Jane. Try a sleeveless yellow (or cream or white) blouse with a pleated khaki skirt, short military boots and natural makeup. Add a sunhat to really capture this heroine’s look!

Megara, Hercules

Sassy, tough and uber stylish, Meg’s look is totally underrated. If you’re hitting the town, hers is a look to emulate! Deep purple bodycon dress, a high ponytail like Ariana Grande’s here, gladiator heeled sandals and some killer smoky eyes…. You can’t go wrong! Add some Grecian jewelry and red lips for some added oomph.

Aurora (Briar Rose), Sleeping Beauty

Our personal favorite, this outfit is so simple and modern but deliciously romantic. Pair a lightweight white tee shirt with a modern, drapey maxi skirt and edgy black belt, leave your hair loose with an elastic headband, add delicate jewelry and a dark shawl and voila! A modern twist on Briar Rose in the woods. Get ready to meet a handsome stranger 😉

What are your favorite Disney looks? Would you wear them, if you could?
